Food Security TEP Insight Aug 2019

Food Security TEP @ ESA #PhiWeek 2019

Learn more about Using the Food Security TEP and how Deep Learning Services for Food Security Applications are made available on Food Security TEP in this ESA PhiWeek side event on 12/09/2019: "From Copernicus Big Data to Extreme Earth Analytics: the ExtremeEarth Project".

Extreme Earth is a groundbreaking EU Horizon 2020 project which pioneers the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques for Copernicus data. It will develop distributed deep learning architectures that will extract information and knowledge from big Copernicus data. This information and knowledge will be encoded as big linked geospatial data, it will be interlinked with other European data and it will be made available for the development of two use cases with high societal, economic and environmental value.

The ESA EO Open Science event PhiWeek will take place between 9 and 13 September 2019 at ESRIN in Frascati, Italy and is focused on Space 4.0 technologies for Earth Observation. We are looking forward to meet you there!

Food Security TEP @ ESA Training Course on Land Remote Sensing

The European Space Agency (ESA) is organising an Advanced Training Course on Land Remote Sensing with the focus on Agriculture. This course is dedicated to train the next generation of Earth Observation (EO) scientists and experts from agriculture and food security related agencies to exploit data from EO missions (e.g. the Copernicus Sentinels) for science and applications development in the domain of agriculture.

The Food Security TEP team will be present at this event at Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), Belgium and train the next generation of scientists and experts on the use of EO cloud platforms for agricultural applications.
