Normalized Difference Vegetation Index derived with ESA's SNAP Sentinel-2 Toolbox 

This index results from the following equation: Index = (NIR - Red)/ (NIR + Red). The NDVI is a widely used vegetation index that measures the photosynthetic activity and is strongly correlated with vegetation density and vitality.(Pearson, R. L.; Miller, L. The NDVI is called S2_NDVI in the Food Security TEP.
