To demonstrate the ability of Food Security TEP to support agriculture and aquaculture with tailored EO based information services, three different Food Security TEP Service Pilots are implemented:

• The 1st agricultural Service Pilot includes crop monitoring and the derivation of advanced biophysical parameters and yield predictions to increase efficiency of agricultural production on farm level in Europe (Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany) and Zambia as a first application in Africa.
• The 2nd agricultural Service Pilot implemented in Phase 2 does focus on the improvement of financial services for farmers in Africa.
• The 3rd Service Pilot for aquaculture is developing satellite EO aquaculture applications for the coastal region of Tanzania, Africa.
